Sustainable Packaging’s
Watershed Moment

September 29 – October 1, 2025

We’re in the middle of a watershed moment for sustainable packaging. On one hand, it’s never been easier to demonstrate the ROI of sustainable packaging — on the other, new EPR policies, consumer expectations, and urgent environmental challenges demand that we go further. At SPC Impact this past spring, one thing became clear: harmonizing strategies across states, sectors, and stakeholders is our only path forward. This fall at SPC Advance, let’s build on our momentum and rise to meet this watershed moment for sustainable packaging together.

Why Attend SPC Advance?

Networking

Creating a unique pre-competitive space to foster connection and encourage collaboration for organizations to identify and work toward shared sustainability goals.

Community Engagement

By breaking down barriers to build bridges, we create a strong sense of community centered around advancing sustainability throughout the entire supply chain.

Educator

Ranging from foundational to advanced, our role as educators is crucial when many professionals, as the only sustainability expert in their organization, rely on our programs for guidance.

Authenticity

Reflected in our programs, resources, and communications, we deliver difficult truths, stand firm in our positions, and we facilitate honest discussions.

SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES

Our Impact

While any event with attendees hailing from across continents comes with a carbon emissions impact, we make a concerted effort to maximize our SPC events’ sustainability.

Our key event sustainability initiatives include:

  • Serving only vegetarian or vegan meals to reduce carbon
  • Eliminating single-use cups at events and encouraging attendees to bring and use reusable water bottles
  • Sourcing event signage from recycled materials, and recycling those materials at the event’s end
  • Encouraging attendees to practice sustainable transportation during the event by carpooling, taking public transportation, or walking
  • Diverting food waste to the hotel’s venue partner
