GreenCape

Saloshnee Naidoo is the Circular Economy Programme Manager at GreenCape, where she leads the strategic direction and delivery of initiatives that enable the transition to a more resource-efficient and circular economy in South Africa.

She serves as Secretariat Lead for the South African Plastics Pact, a multi-stakeholder platform that brings together industry, government, and civil society to drive systemic change in plastic packaging. In this role, she oversees programme delivery, stakeholder alignment, and the advancement of circular packaging solutions at a national level.

Her work focuses on developing market ecosystems, strengthening local recycling and recovery systems, and supporting the scale-up of circular solutions in complex, resource-constrained environments.

With over 15 years’ experience across research, technology development, and programme leadership, Saloshnee previously worked at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), where she contributed to materials innovation and supported the progression of technologies from research through to pilot-scale demonstration and commercialisation pathways.

She is a chemical engineer by training and holds a MEng degree in Technology and Innovation Management, with expertise spanning circular economy systems, technology commercialisation, and the development of scalable solutions for sustainable industrial transitions.
