Ryan Nordt has been in the waste industry for over 20 years. Ryan started in Recycling at Waste Management (WM) in 2003 and held various roles including leading the Accounting & Finance team. From 2013 to 2017, Ryan worked in the glass recycling space for Strategic Materials (now Sibelco) where he held roles as the Controller and Vice President of FP&A & Supply. In 2017, Ryan returned to WM and is currently the Executive Director, Recycling Operations helping guide our growth investment strategy while leading the teams responsible for technology, capital deployment and innovation and business optimization. All of these efforts are grounded in support of WM’s commitment to environmental and economic sustainability.
Ryan received a BBA with a degree in Accounting in 2001 from the University of Houston. A native Texan, Ryan was raised in South Texas and currently lives in Fulshear with his wife and two daughters.
