Pierre is President of Lichens Recyclabilité Inc. a firm dedicated on finding solutions for both producers and recyclers, based on collaboration, deep technical and strategic analysis, and innovation.
Involved in the development and optimization of recycling solutions for the past fifteen years, Pierre has participated in numerous projects aimed at increasing recycling capacities for glass, polycoated containers, plastics and paper. His strength lies in his ability to understand complex issues and identify solutions that can be tested and implemented with the collaboration of various stakeholders involved.
As such, he leads the various projects of the Circular Plastics Taskforce, an organization representing producers and associations dedicated to implementing solutions aimed at increasing the circularity of plastics in Canada. He also supports various PROs on market dynamics, responsible end markets and recycling capacity development.
Pierre is a recognized expert in packaging recyclability assessment, providing technical support and in-depth analysis to evaluate materials and packaging formats against established recyclability frameworks. He conducts rigorous assessments aligned with leading industry guidelines. As an official APR Design Guide Trainer, Pierre is able to guide packaging designers, brands, and recycling professionals on how to apply the guide’s criteria to optimizepackaging for end-of-life recyclability.
