Mike leads the implementation and technical workstreams in CEFLEX and is part of the leadership team. He has 33 years’ experience in the waste management and recycling sector and throughout his career has been involved in extended producer responsibility (EPR), primarily across the EU+3 but also internationally. Around half of his career has been spent in commercial and operational roles and the remainder as a consultant. Areas of specialism include the collection and treatment of recyclables, materials recycling, markets for secondary raw materials, EPR, and waste policy & legislation. As well as his work with CEFLEX, he is the Managing Director of EPRO, the circular plastics association, whose members include PROs and material collection organisations. He also chairs the technical group in EXPRA (Extended Producer Responsibility Alliance).
