Matt leads Amazon’s packaging strategy for the Worldwide Sustainability team, developing initiatives that improve material utilization and enhance the customer experience. In his work with Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly program, he developed Amazon’s first internal sustainability certification, Compact by Design, which celebrates products and packaging that achieve best-in-class efficiency. In his private brands work, he established global standards for sustainable packaging and developed the packaging guidelines for Amazon’s first sustainability-focused private brand.
