Luciana Pellegrino is the first woman to take over the presidency of WPO – World Packaging Organisation, a 59-year-old-institutional-body that represents the packaging industry on a global level, gathering as members packaging national bodies in 66 countries worldwide.
Having contributed with WPO for more than 20 years and 15 as Vice President for Marketing, Mrs. Pellegrino took over the presidency in November 2023 aiming to expand WPO’s activities and relevance before the global packaging industry, standing out WPO’s participation at the WCEF and COP30, both in 2025.
Mrs. Pellegrino’s vision is to raise the voice of packaging at strategic global forums and foster packaging s positive impact in modern life. Counting with WPO Executives, Ambassadors and Board Members representing the organization worldwide, Mrs. Pellegrino believes in WPO’s key role to share knowledge and references promoting packaging innovation, technology, sustainability and packaging that saves food.
In Brazil, Luciana has been working with the packaging industry for over 29 years at the Brazilian Packaging Association (ABRE), the national body that gathers and supports companies from the packaging chain and FMCGs for greater innovation and advancement in Brazil. In 2024 she was nominated the Personality of the Year by Embanews Magazine in Brazil. In 2025 Luciana became the 1st Executive President of ABRE.
Luciana is a mother of two toddlers and lives with her husband and the boys in São Paulo, Brazil.
