Jordan Fengel

Jordan Fengel is the Executive Director of the Carton Council, a trade association dedicated to advancing the recovery and recycling of food and beverage cartons, keeping them out of landfills or from becoming litter. In this role, he leads the organization’s strategy, industry partnerships, and policy engagement across the US and Canada. Jordan brings a multidisciplinary background to his work in sustainable materials management. He previously served as Sustainability Manager for the U.S. & Canada at Tetra Pak, where he also held the role of Director of Government Affairs for the Carton Council — leading the organization’s legislative and regulatory advocacy program. Before that, he served as Executive Director of the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling (STAR), where he championed circular economy policy and strengthened the recycling industry across the state, and earlier as Environmental Programs Coordinator for the City of Georgetown, Texas. He was formerly on the Board of Directors for AMERIPEN. Prior to his career in sustainability, Jordan was a practicing paramedic for more than a decade. He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental management and is certified in circular economy systems.
