Greg Janson is the President and CEO of Triton Group, bringing over 28 years of leadership and strategic experience to the plastics recycling industry. He is passionate about advancing realistic and consistent demand for post-consumer resin.
A graduate of Purdue University, Greg began his career serving eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps before entering the recycling industry in 1998 as a plant manager. Over the years, he rose through positions of increasing responsibility—including Market Area General Manager, Chief Operating Officer, and now President and CEO—gaining hands-on operational expertise in building and managing material recovery facilities, secondary sort facilities, post-consumer plastic reclaiming, and plastic molding operations.
Today, Greg leads Triton Group’s vertically integrated strategy, focused on reclaiming plastics from challenging streams of mixed post-consumer materials. These efforts fuel the production of the company’s flagship product—the Triton Tie.
Greg’s commitment to the industry extends beyond his company leadership. He served for four years on the Board of The Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) and currently co-chairs APR’s Market Development Committee and Chemical Recycling Working Group.
Based in St. Louis, Missouri, Greg lives with his wife, Jennifer. Together, they have six children spread across the Midwest.
