Dan Liswood is a senior project director at the Closed Loop Center for the Circular Economy, an innovation firm that helps global brands, retailers and manufacturers solve their most pressing material challenges. Dan leads the NextGen Consortium that unites industry leaders such as McDonald’s, Starbucks, The Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo in a shared mission to combat food packaging waste. Key initiatives include identifying solutions to increase recycling and recovery of paper and plastic cups, innovating on the materials that comprise these packaging formats to make them more recoverable in the recycling system and supporting the development of industry-leading reuse models and innovative alternatives to single-use packaging.
Prior to joining Closed Loop, Dan spent a decade in corporate sustainability consulting and clean energy development working for leading sustainability consulting firms and the Clinton Foundation.
Daniel holds an MA from the New School University and a BA from McGill University.
