Christian (Chris) Knobloch is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Recyda, a pioneering enterprise software company that operates a platform bridging the gap between packaging regulations, guidelines, and producers’ data.
A growing number of the world’s largest producers use the Recyda platform to eliminate process friction and radically minimize costs associated with the assessment, reporting, and compliance of packaging against a vast number of global rules. This includes the increasing complexity of eco-modulated EPR, recyclability guidelines, and regulations like the PPWR.
A software engineer turned packaging enthusiast and entrepreneur, Chris combines a deeply rooted technical mindset with specialized subject matter expertise. Prior to founding Recyda, he consulted for German and US companies and served as a Lawrence Berkeley National Lab Affiliate.
Alongside driving Recyda’s overall strategy and execution, he has raised close to $10M USD in capital to accelerate growth and built extensive partnerships with leading organizations, ranging from authorities like the APR in North America to technology companies including SAP.
Having been fully immersed in the packaging sector’s regulatory and data challenges since Recyda’s inception in 2019, Chris is dedicated to supporting the transition to a circular economy with a connected software foundation for decision-making, replacing legacy spreadsheets and processes.
