Purva Mhatre-Shah is Associate Sustainability Manager at Sonoco Products Company. In her role, she works as the Sustainability Business Partner for the North American region and oversees product level Life cycle assessments & Product carbon footprintacross Sonoco’s global product portfolio, while leading company-wide LCA automation initiative. Prior to joining the company, Purva spent three years in climate change and environmental consulting, where she focused on developing circular economy strategies, carbon accounting frameworks, and corporate LCAs.
Purva holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in civil engineering alongside a PhD in Sustainability Management. She has authored multiple research papers focused on circular economy frameworks, material reuse insights, social LCAs, and adoption barriers that industrial organizations face when transitioning to circular models.
