Betty Brown Nyadu is a Chartered Management Consultant, Chartered Administrator and a Certified Sustainability Leader with over Twenty (20) years of professional experience in Management, Administration, Private Sector Development, Circular Economy and sustainability implementation.
She has worked, advised for and consulted for various organizations, including, The Private Sector Development Strategy of Government, Imic Interkulturelle Mitengen in Germany , the Reroy Group , Ministry of Business Development , Ministry of Private Sector Development and Public Private Partnerships before her appointment as General Manager for the Integrated Recycling and Compost Plant Limited where she manages the first ever 400 tonne capacity solid waste treatment mobile plant that receives and treats municipal solid waste in Ghana to support agriculture and sustainable development .She was a policy task force member for the Ghana National Plastic Partnership (GPAP) on developing a circular economy ecosystem in Ghana that serves as the operational framework for the effective and sustainable management of plastics in the country.
She is a member of several National and International Professional Bodies, including the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants, and Certified as a Sustainability leader with the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence-CSE Chicago, United States of America.
She hold a Masters Degree in Development Management with specialization in International Development from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Master of Law and Development from the University of Ghana Law School. Betty also holds a Postgraduate Degree in Public Administration. She is a Chartered Management professional with License number- 2k 18-044 amongst others.
Betty has pursued several certification programmes in the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy and Management from McGill University Canada and CSR Training Institute. Certificate in Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship from the Carrier Development and Educational Trust Ghana. Certificate in Natural Resource Management Leadership for Climate Change from the United Nations University (Institute for Natural Resources in Africa among several others.
She has received several awards and recognitions, including GREEN CHAMPION AWARD from the University of Ghana Business School and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) for her role in championing Environmental Sustainability in Ghana, She won the National Transformational Leader of the Year 2021, an award for Managing the Best Start up Project in Ghana (Management Excellence Foundation, 2020) an award from the Association of Ghana Industries , Ghana Recycling Initiative by Private Enterprises (GRIPE) for her contribution to promoting sustainability in Ghana among many others .
She serves on several Boards including the National Materials Recovery Company Limited where she advises on strategy for business Growth.
