Meghan Ibach brings years of operational experience in foodservice, product manufacturing and compost processing to Circular Action Alliance. She believes certified compostable materials have a role in capturing wasted food to create healthy soil amendments. At the same time, companies have a role in creating products that truly work in a circular system, whether that’s reusable, compostable or recyclable.
Over the last 4 years she worked directly with compost manufacturers to see what types of packaging disintegrates in their system, and worked upstream to build successful front-of-house collection programs at the generator level. She’s excited to help Circular Action Alliance develop a nationwide strategy to include more compostable materials into the organics stream that actually works for compost manufacturers and communities.
